Social Innovation Register

Before starting your application, please ensure you have everything you need. You can submit one website at a time. You will be able to add more websites after your submission. Submit websites to be zero-rated, or websites that are already zero-rated on one or more networks. Submitting already zero-rated websites will add them to our directory.
You have a valid legal entity (nonprofit company, trust, voluntary association or Pty Ltd), including relevant registration numbers and documents.
You have a registered public benefit organisation, including PBO number and tax exemption certificate.
Your content is locally hosted within South Africa.
Your service is not for commercial gain.
You understand that embedded content or embedded links will not be zero-rated.
You understand that any rich media content such as videos and streaming should be limited to a maximum of 480-pixel quality to protect network quality.
You understand that a user will be limited to 300 MB of daily data and a monthly cap of 2 GB per user.
You understand that any mobile network operator (MNO) may suspend zero-rating, where the MNO is exposed to content which poses a security threat and where there is exploitative tunnelling or there are reasonable grounds to believe that illegitimate and/or abusive use of zero-rated websites is or could be taking place.
